Darnell, Irene - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Irnee Darnell, 92, formerly of 714 W. Wabash Ave died at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette.  Mrs. Darnell was a charter member and historian of Christ Luthern Church where she was also a Sunday School teacher. She was a 30-year member of Crawfordsville International Travel and Study Club; she was also active in the Amicitia Club and was retired from RR Donnelley & Sons.

Mrs. Darnell was born March 13, 1890 at Jetson, a daughter of Matthew and Clara Myers Clark.  She married Fred H. Darnell who preceded her in death. Surviving is a stepson, David W. Darnell of Anderson.  Services will be 2 p..m. Saturday in Christ Lutheran with pastor John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements - kbz
